Even by my standards, this is a lengthy read. But it needs to be told. I make no apologies
---------------------------------------------------------
Subject…. Channel 4 Racing’s Derek Thompson.
Complaint…. Fraudulent advertising claims in the Racing Post and on his website.
When phoning 090 tipping services, innocent and naive people little realise they are about to receive worthless (090) information from one of Derek Thompson’s LOSS making tipping services. Such naive people are unaware of the trickery and deception when they respond to his ‘winner only’ tipping adverts from such a high profile and respectable personality as Channel 4 Racings Derek Thompson. They believe him to be both decent and honest Far from it! My blog proves otherwise.
Occasionally, Thompson will place a full page 090 £1 per minute colour advert promoting his 090 service as he did on Saturday, the 7th April. That advert cost Thompson £11,500. I repeat. £11,500, How many calls at £1 per minute does he have to receive to pay for an advert so costly before he begins to make a profit? The cost of that full page advert alone, indicates the huge revenue that Thompson expects to make,
If we assume the average call charge is £5 then £11,500 divided by £5 = 2300 calls. We are now able to calculate how many calls Thompson requires before breaking even (2,300)…….. Lets say from such a big and impressive advert that another 1000 callers phone (the profit) ….1000 x £5 = £5,000. Not an unrealistic presumption. 090 tipping services make huge revenue for the tipster. Why else would they pay for a full page advert. So on the day Thompson makes a bundle…….
But what about the naive innocent and vulnerable people who put their trust in him. When they find out they have been conned do they complain. No they do not. Why? …“well it was only a few quid. Why worry about it” …Or maybe they realise they’ve been conned and feel too embarrassed to admit it … Or maybe if they do take the trouble (highly unlikely) and go to the various consumer protection authorities they may get an answer that says…. “Well we have only 3 other records of complaint on file and feel that that is not enough to start an enquiry. But we will make a note of it”…. Such negative feelings by people who have been conned by scam tipping adverts for “just a few quid” are but human nature. And the tipping sharks that daily pollute The Racing Post and Daily Mirror KNOW that, and profit and capitalize from it!!!!!! THAT IS THEIR STRENGTH!!!
Now take a look at Thomson's tipping inability in my blog archive “Thompson’s overall losses” and you will see proof that his clients will lose in the SHORT term. BIG TIME. I have a huge amount of evidence to prove that Thompson is the last person in the world who should be allowed to sell horse racing tips. He produces massive losses month after month, year after year, yet still he advertises full page adverts that indicate he is successful. He is! At the end of the day he banks big time. Not from backing his tips, Apart from many other failings, Channel 4 Racings Derek Thompson is not stupid. He never loses. But his clients, if they are lucky may make a couple of quid on a couple of days in the month. Does the customer complain to the authorities when he realises he has been tricked? No he does not. Why not? “Well it was only a fiver and it ‘aint worth worrying about”. And Thompson says…..NEXT PLEASE!.
I believe Derek Thompson is well aware of my blog. His RP/Web adverts have changed drastically over the past couple of weeks as to his fraudulent claims. The 70-1 winner he has been boasting about on his website for over three years. Now gone. He claimed the horse was a record breaker at 70-1. Its true price was 33-1. His website £1.50 090 telephone lines have had their numbers removed. He now has no telephone number at all in his website!
Now take a look at his website http://www.tommoracing.com/atdailytips.html You will see one of his many tipping services called “Maximum Bet,” is boasting a 100% success rate in 2008!!! That claim is still on his website. He is claiming in his “Maximum Bet Service” that he never tipped a loser in 2008. I believe that to be yet another lie. To go through the year without tipping a loser in any tipping service would surely be a RECORD BREAKER. The tragedy is that as a potential client I have no way of finding out if that is the truth. Thompson know’s this and takes advantage. When he reads or hears about the 100% success rate from wherever, it should be removed Unless of coarse every horse he tipped in 2008 won!! But I have yet to see such a claim.
Now scroll down to the lower half of the page and you will see a big blue and most impressive flash relating to YET ANOTHER 100% batch of winners. Not a loser in site!
As you would expect from one of Derek Thompson’s ‘winners only’ tipping services, the headline banner shouts “My Winners" & “Tommo’s Winners" We have yet another wonderful 100% Thompson success !!!!.....Not a loser to be seen!! All winners no losers. WOW!!!....I then took a closer look at the date. It said November 2006!!!!!! Today’s date is 11th Feb 2009 and Thompson is still boasting about 100% winners for NOVEMBER 2006!!!...2006!!!...2006!!! A closer look revealed he had listed the 31 days, and every day was a winning day, bar one, WOW!! But were all his winners odds on? He chooses not say! I wonder why? They probably were or as near as! Note that with all those wonderful winners he refuses to say what his profit was for the 31 days. I wonder why?
Just a thought. Why did the banner not say “My Losers” & “Tommo’s Losers?” The answer is so obvious and the omission of the losers reflects the ethics of the man. Immoral
CHANNEL 4 RACINGS DEREK THOMPSON IS HOOKED ON WINNERS……. EVERY ADVERT,…… EVERY LIST,….. EVERY STAT,….. EVER BOAST……TALK SPORT “TOMMO’S WINNERS”…..HIS WEB SHEET “TOMMO’S WINNERS……..
As Thomson says “100% Success” and that means Winners Winners Winners.
Now take a look at my blog archive “Thompson's overall LOSSES” See if you can find many of “TOMMO’S WINNERS”…….What Thompson tells you is trickery and deception, What you see in my blog is the reality.
Explanations are required.
