JOIN THE CLUB BIRKDALE
It seems that the only people who do not know Derek Thompson is a fraud and a con-man is:- CHANNEL 4, TALK SPORT, ATR, THE RACING POST, THE ELITE RACING CLUB, THE TRINITY MIRROR GROUP AND NOW BETFAIR.
THEY HAVE ALL GOT THEIR HEADS STUCK IN THE SAND!!! I WONDER WHY?.....THINK ABOUT IT!

Dear Sir
Thank you for your e-mail.
The Betfair forum is run at our discretion and if we feel (rightly or wrongly) that someone has overstepped the mark then we can remove access to it as we see fit.
The vast majority of your postings concern a single named individual. It is not acceptable to use our forum as a vehicle to mount such a campaign.
On the 24th of January at 21.56 you wrote "Tommo has breached the advertising guidelines again" As far as I am aware it is only your opinion that such guidelines have been breached and as such could be considered disparaging to his business.
You also reprinted the following defamatory statement "An entry concerning Derek Thompson, the racing tipster, was made in Wikipedia. It lasted about 2 days... IT WAS THEN WITHDRAWN. As is the usual practice when any negative voice is made concerning the scam-ad man by the people that know of his scams. "
A statement may be considered to be defamatory if it tends to do any one of the following:
lower the claimant in the estimation of right-thinking members of society generally;
disparage a claimant in his business, trade, office or profession;
expose the claimant to hatred, ridicule or contempt; or
cause the claimant to be shunned or avoided
Clearly referring to a named individual as carrying out 'Scams' could be considered defamatory.
You have received several warnings regarding posting such information in the past and have chosen to disregard these warnings. As such we have had no option but to suspend your access to the forum and unfortunately are unable to enter into further lengthy debate regarding your access to the forum.
Kind regards
Alex Graynor.
I shall be passing comment tomorrow about it's content.
