Thompson's stretching scams

.
TOMMO RACING POST AD STRETCHES WINNERS FOR 4 WKS.
TOMMO'S WEB AD STRETCHES WINNERS FROM 3 YRS AGO!

I say that is misleading information.
I say that is deceiving information.
I say that is trick advertising.
I say that is fraudulent advertising.

I SAY DEREK THOMSON'S ADVERTS ARE EXTREMELY MISLEADING!

The Racing Post are on record as saying

“All information carried within the adverts conform with all Advertising Standards guidelines for sports tipster service, as is with all tipster ads carried in the Racing Post.” ......

I say. Do they really?... What? Boasting about winners 4 weeks past their sell by date? And the RP say this conforms with the ASA guidelines? I'll have to have a word with the ASA about that one!

Perhaps The Racing would like to know that their advertiser Derek Thompson is currently advertising a horse on his website that won in OCTOBER!!! And perhaps they would also like to know that the horse Derek Thomson is boasting as a winner in OCTOBER relates to a winner from over 3 OVER THREE YEARS AGO!! IN 2005!!

Perhaps they would also like to know that there is not the slightest indication in Thompson's trick advert that relates to any of the above other than " OCTOBER RECORD BREAKER.....Kinnaird 70-1"

I believe that the Racing Post know of the existence of that misleading website advert of one of their advertisers. I also believe that it has been a Thompson website tipping service promotion for many years. I believe even given the low moral standards the The Racing Post require from their advertisers, that even they will have to admit that by selling a tipping service based on a 3 year old winner ....IS IMMORAL!

Now that the RP know that one of their advertisers is making a mockery of the ASA code of conduct, and has been doing so for years, will they now be taking the necessary action to protect their readers from the unscrupulous tipsters who trick and deceive the RP readers by dealing in immoral and misleading adverts that pollute their newspaper. If they do know, why do they allow ? As always it is the vulnerable who pays the price for such contempt and misleading trickery by the unscupulous.

The Racing Post say "they have a dedicated team to ensure that all ad claims are factual and accurate. Mr Thompson's adverts reflect his recent performance prior to the advert and are accurate regarding the claims made.

Does "The dedicated "RP team" that allow factual and accurate claims consider that a tipster who's astronomical losses cause him to stretch his winners over 4 weeks AFTER his tips have won, as acceptable? Yes they do! After all the winner was only given 4 weeks "PRIOR" to the claim in the advert. BUT THE RP READERS WERE TRICKED BY NOT BEING TOLD!!!!!!

But where is the moral cut off point Racing Post? 4 days? 4 weeks? 4 months? 4 years? 40 years? All are "prior" to the advert are'nt they?

It would appear that the Racing Post are as adapt at abusing the ASA code as the tipsters who advertise in their newspaper.

The 'prior' word they use is relevent. It is not posative as in '28 days'.... Prior can mean any amount of time. Clever words RP!!!....Clever words!! Smart trick stuff, just like your advertisers,

OK RP. Lets wrap it up in a knutshell. What do you mean by "PRIOR?"

Think about it

ps. Any whistle blowers out there!!
