Nevison could back a horse at 5.00 on Betfair
Nevison immediately could put in an order on Betfair to lay the horse back at 3.5
30 minutes later, Nevison could put up the horse as a bet on his premium rate update line
The 090 good guys rush in because Nevison told them to go and back his tip at 3.5
But the 090 good guys are only matching Nevison's money
The only certain winner therefore would be Nevison because it doesn't matter now if the horse wins or loses
And that is the purpose of the update message. Nevison is no fool but he is certainly a con man
